Her areas of expertise are trauma-informed and resilience-informed guiding.
She hosts workshops at Weber State University for students, faculty, staff, and community members.
She guides through Aspect Adventure and Flash Foxy.
She is available for one-on-one guidance and coaching, as well as group guiding.
Full day 1:1 = $475 Half Day 1:1 = $375

Climbing, Fear & Mental Resilience: October 26, 2024

Join me for a therapeutic day of outdoor rock climbing, where you’ll learn mental resilience skills for on and off the wall.

Participants will learn the basics of rock climbing, belaying and practice dynamic movement in incremental exercises. Throughout the day, participants will also learn proven strategies for emotional regulation and stress management and will receive 1:1 coaching from their facilitators.

This workshop is an opportunity for participants to ​​build their physical and mental capacity by tackling challenging climbs, foster a positive relationship with fear, and develop trust in themselves and others.

Women/Genderqueer Gym-to-Crag

Join me and my co-guide Jen Wulf for an all-women/ genderqueer class where we’ll teach you how to sport climb outdoors with confidence and joy, and plan your own outdoor climbing trips!

With small class sizes and instructors trained in fear management and trauma-informed climbing, this five-day class is your opportunity to build a solid foundation and push yourself in a supportive environment with people you trust.

Topics Covered: Build and clean toprope anchors, lead climbing & belaying techniques, safely take and catch lead falls, crag etiquette and leave no trace, gear selection and management, choosing an appropriate crag for your goals, understanding land use and camping options, planning and cooking meals outdoors for large groups

Do you love climbing at the gym, but aren’t sure where to start outdoors? This class is for you!

Topics Covered: anchor setting, top-roping, and anchor cleaning

Rappelling 101

Rappelling is a necessary skill in climbing. And it can be fun too! Learn how to safely rappel in single-pitch terrain.

Topics Covered: rappelling with an ATC, properly extending a rappel, rope management

Learn to Lead Outdoors

Do you feel confident top roping outdoors and want to start leading? This course will help you feel confident in your leading abilities.

Topics Covered: mock leading, clipping techniques, clipping stances, leading

Trad is Rad!

Interested in learning more about trad (traditional) climbing? This class will go over the necessary skills to trad climb safely.

Topics Covered: passive and active gear, gear placements, slings extensions, mock leading

Indoor Climbing 101: Show me the Ropes!

Never climbed before? No problem! Let’s go over the basics and keep you safe while top-roping. You may even have fun!

Topics Covered: belaying with a grigri, tying figure 8 knots, climbing commands, partner checks, climbing technique

Face the Fear: Falling

Many climbers struggle with the fear of falling. In this workshop, we go through a progression of falling drills. We also work through the anxiety and stress that come with falling. We also will cover how to catch falls safely and comfortably.
